At least not with the water pipe I chose. I did not like how much harder it was to pull the air through the pipe and instead opt to just place the hose directly into the pipe. The hose wound up fitting to the glass pipe perfectly and pulls very easily. Instead of the whip adapter I wish I spent my money on a spare filling chamber.
