Due to the PACT Act, we removed all concentrate vaporizers and accessories from the Planet of the Vapes website, and you should know why. We still stand behind these products, and plan to bring them back later, but for now we have stopped shipping concentrate vaporizers.
Your X VAPE Vista Mini 2 may get dirty and gunked up after a decent amount of use. Luckily, cleaning your vaporizer takes just a few simple steps. We’ll walk you through it and get you going with a fresh e-rig!
Cleaning your X VAPE Vista Mini 2: What you’ll need
You’ll only need a few items for this cleaning:
- A few cotton swabs
- Rubbing alcohol (or warm, soapy water)
- A container for soaking
The heating coil
Heat the Vista Mini 2 up just long enough to melt any residues, and use a dry cotton swab to wipe the inside of the heating coil clean. Set the vape to the highest temperature, and run a couple sessions in a row to burn off what's left in the heating coil. Watch the coil while it's heating to see if the stains are burning off. When done, let it sit and cool off before moving on to the next step.
Separate the glass from the base
Next thing we’ll want to do is separate the bubbler from the electronic base. Start by removing the mouthpiece from the glass connection and dumping out all of the water. Remove the carb cap and twist the heating coil counterclockwise to remove it. Now, grab the electronic base with one hand, set your other hand on top, and twist the bubbler and the black silicone ring counterclockwise to loosen it.
Unscrew the oven base (the metal plate between the heating coil and glass) and then remove the bubbler. The black silicone ring around the oven base, as well as the small clear one on the bottom, shouldn’t need a whole lot of attention. Remove these and set them to the side before we start soaking anything.
What to soak
X VAPE made it easy to clean your Vista Mini 2. Everything except the heating coil and battery can be soaked in rubbing alcohol. So set those aside, and place the bubbler, oven base, carb cap, and mouthpiece into your container of rubbing alcohol. Anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours should do the trick, but you may want to let it sit overnight for those stubborn spots. Once they’re done soaking, rinse them off in some hot water and let them sit out to dry.
Reassemble!
Once everything is nice and dry, let’s put your Vista Mini 2 back together. Start by filling the bubbler back up to the red fill level, and then place back onto the base. It’s a good idea to fill it up before attaching it to the base to protect the electronics.
Next, grab the silicone rings and fit them back onto the oven base. The black ring has three small grooves that match up with the three ridges on the side of the oven base. The small clear ring goes on the end that extends out the furthest. Take the end with the white silicone ring and screw it clockwise on top of the bubbler.
Once the oven base is nice and secure, take the heating coil and screw it clockwise onto the oven base, and then reattach the carb cap and the mouthpiece. Secure the mouthpiece with the plastic buckle so you can walk around without it falling off, and then you’re good to go!
Tips for a cleaner e-rig
To keep your Vista Mini 2 looking fresh for as long as possible, we recommend taking a few easy steps after each session. After you’ve finished each load, take a cotton swab and wipe out any leftover residue still stuck inside. This will help keep the atomizer in better shape long term. You can also take an alcohol wipe to the carb cap for an easy cleaning that’ll take only seconds. Keeping this spotless will make viewing the cascading vapor a lot more fun while the rest of the unit gets dirty.
We also suggest emptying out the bubbler after you’re done with it for the day. Any particulates inside the bubbler will start to stick to the glass over time, so replacing it with fresh water often will help keep it looking brand new.
