For my first session, I packed the oven full with a light tamp and set it to the 3rd temperature setting (395°F / 200°C) for a nice combination of flavors and clouds. Around 50 seconds later, it was ready, and I took a slow, steady draw through the ruby-filled glass stem.
That first hit was all flavor—full-bodied and complex, but little clouds. These convection vapes thrive on longer, patient pulls, and as the session went on, the clouds started rolling in. My second and third draws, slightly longer this time, filled my lungs with potent vapor that exhaled into a billowing cloud.
Whether you prefer slow sips to savor the flavor or big rips for big clouds, the pure convection halogen bulb delivers on taste, while the ruby pearls pack the power for dense, satisfying vapor.

Ruby-filled glass stem: Discreet cooling that's a little warm
The included 55mm glass stem comes filled with ruby pearls that help cool the vapor in a more discreet style. Vapor is cool and comfortable but can get a little warm on the throat with longer pulls at higher temperatures.
Portable Side Bubbler: Even cooler hits on the go
The included Side Bubbler takes things up a notch with the cooling power of water in a portable package. More than once, I’d take a hit thinking, ‘Hmm, is this thing on?’ only to feel the potency as I exhaled a nice cloud. It’s that good!
Water pipe adapter & glass bubbler: The smoothest hits
My personal favorite, the water pipe adapter, connects the Angus Enhanced to any of my tabletop glass bubblers and works beautifully. The airflow is free and open, and each hit is punchy without the harshness. Smooth sessions without the choke.
Fine-tune with adjustable airflow
The customizations don't stop there. The Angus Enhanced comes with an adjustable airflow dial that twists and turns to open or tighten the airflow. It’s a nice feature that helps fine-tune the hit to your exact liking. I switch back and forth between a tight sip and a large chug, depending on how I'm feeling.
The range is impressive—anywhere from wide open and almost unrestricted to fully closed—so you can really dial in the perfect draw for any session.
Not the fastest heat-up: 60 seconds at most
At most, the Angus Enhanced took a little under a minute to hit temperature, with faster results when it was already warm. It’s not the fastest vape, but also not the slowest. In a crunch, I’d turn it on and engage the heater, then grind and pack the oven while it heated up. The herbs don't cook until you hit it, so very little is lost as the temperature climbs.
Good oven size: 0.2g - 0.25g
The Angus Enhanced packs in up to around 0.2g - 0.25g of ground herbs, which is plenty for most appetites but not the biggest we’ve seen in a portable. It’s a nice happy medium. I experimented with tiny amounts as well and got visible wisps from about 0.01g — a few crumbs. You can pack in decent microdoses and get results.
Seven to eight sessions per charge
Battery life will depend on how you use your vaporizer, but on average, we got about seven to eight sessions per charge with moderate daily use.
USB-C & removable batteries
The Angus Enhanced utilizes two removable 18650 batteries that easily swap in and out when you’re low and USB-C charging when it’s more convenient to plug in. Unfortunately, batteries are NOT included due to regulations so you’ll need to source them yourselves if you don’t have any. YLL recommends the Molicel 18650 battery.
Single-button controls
One button and a ring of lights are all you get with the Angus Enhanced. Luckily, it’s easy and intuitive. Give it five quick clicks to turn it on and off and a double-click to turn the heater on and cycle through the five temperature settings.
Once you turn the vape on, it lights up with the current battery level, with each of the five lights representing a 20% charge. Heating doesn’t start automatically. You’ll need to double-click to begin the cycle.
At first, this threw me off since I’m used to vapes that heat up right away, but I’ve grown to appreciate the brief pause. It gives me a moment to get everything ready before jumping into the session.
Durable construction
This vape might not win any awards for style, but it’s built for durability and performance. The plastic body feels sturdy and reliable in hand, and it gives the impression it could handle a drop as long as there’s no glass piece attached.
It’s also fairly bulky, with a shape and size similar to the Mighty+. It fits best in larger pockets or purses. While it’s portable enough to take anywhere, you’ll want some extra cargo space for both the vape and its glass attachments.

A few gripes
I only have a few gripes. The oven lid and battery caps come loose a little too easily. I’ve accidentally removed the oven lid and spilled herbs while twisting off a glass stem, and I’ve had the battery caps pop off unintentionally as well.
No included batteries kind of sucks as well and will drive up the final price if you don’t have any spares, but that’s not the manufacturer’s fault.
